It’s off by default, and text fields, links, and email addresses are never sent.
- Cache Age and One-Click Refresh – Repeat questions are answered instantly from the cache, with a clear “cached 2 hours ago” notice and a Clear Cache button when you want a fresh answer. Changing your model or instructions automatically refreshes cached answers.

How to Use Stylo
Using Stylo is simple:
- Install & Activate – Download the plugin and activate it from your WordPress dashboard.
- Connect Your OpenAI Account – Go to Settings > Stylo – AI Assistant, paste your OpenAI API key, and click Test Connection.
- Open the Customizer – Navigate to Appearance > Customize to start using Stylo.
- Ask Stylo – Type your questions about any section, panel, or setting. Open a section first and enable Share editor context for answers tailored to it.

Installation Instructions
- Install Stylo from the WordPress Plugin Directory.
- Activate it from Plugins > Installed Plugins.
- Open Settings > Stylo – AI Assistant, add your OpenAI API key and your license key (used to receive automatic updates).
- Open the WordPress Customizer under Appearance > Customize.
- Start typing your questions, and Stylo will assist you!

What does “Share editor context” do?
When you enable it in the plugin settings, Stylo sends the name of the open Customizer section and the current values of its structured controls (checkboxes, dropdowns, colors, and sliders) along with your question, so answers fit what you’re editing. It is off by default and never sends text fields, links, or email addresses.
What data is sent to OpenAI?
Your questions and the recent turns of your conversation are sent to OpenAI to generate answers – plus the optional editor context above, if you enable it. Stylo no longer stores a request log, and adds suggested wording to your site’s Privacy Policy Guide to help you disclose this.
How do I keep receiving updates?
Enter your license key under Settings > Stylo – AI Assistant. Sites updating from an earlier version need to enter it once.
